Singer
There are few things more expressive than music, especially vocal music, if only because of the connection to the voice innate in each of us as human beings. It is an honor to be able to share that experience with an attentive audience. This is only one of the many reasons Ashley is always singing. She has studied classical voice for nearly 12 years, participated in vocal jazz ensembles and even writes her own pop/folk/rock melodies. She is currently singing with the Young New Yorkers’ Chorus and loving every minute of it. In June she had the privilege of performing as a soloist in two world premier works composed by finalists in the YNYC’s 5th Annual Competition for Young Composers and couldn’t have been more thrilled to take part in the event. She is now coordinating the competition and is looking forward to working with a new set of talented composers, and of course, her fellow chorus members.
